Plums, Peaches, Persimmons – Oh My!!
I just arrived back from a 3 week trip in Italy and the food was fabulous. My husband and I stayed in Airbnbs throughout our vacation and I remember a specific Airbnb in particular. Before I tell you about this Airbnb I would like to explain Airbnbs. Airbnbs are places people can reserve, often just a room with a shared bathroom or private bathroom. Some Airbnbs offer free breakfast and the one I remember most was in Rome. Paola and Mimmo preserve jams with ingredients from their fruit trees. The jams we had were plum, peach, and persimmon. What a delightful breakfast! We ate toast and jam to our hearts' delight. I will remember Paola and Mimmo for their awesome hospitality and of course the homemade jams.
