March 21, 2013 Growing and Preserving Thursday, 6:30 p.m.
Come join us at our annual Growing and Preserving class. You will get information about growing squash, peppers, tomatoes, and herbs from local Master Gardeners. Also, there will be suggestions for you to recycle things around your house to start seeds and grow these veggies. Later, there will be recipes for these veggies and herbs. You will also get to taste these recipes, such as salsa, dried tomatoes, zucchini cakes, etc. Free raffle will include a Water Bath Canner, books, jars, plants, seeds, etc.
March 23, 2013 Growing and Preserving Saturday, 9:00 a.m.
This is a repeat of the above class, but will provide a different recipe or two. This class will have a "Make It and Take It" Herbal Vinegar. Also, we will have a free raffle, including books, jars, plants, seeds, etc. If you attend this class, please bring a sterilized glass container no larger than 8 oz for the herbal vinegar.
